Prod in the Rib

I am nuts over Commentarius! It's a fanfiction written according to the Harry Potter Series, except that it is about James and Lily. It's really addictive. Man, she writes too well!
Anyway, the recent dining Etiquette course has indeed taught us quite a bit and I have to admit that it is useful, and entertaining for that matter. Great speakers (: But having been to two consecutive dinners (Chinese food, not western so well, the dining etiquette thing does not quite apply here), I have learnt quite a bit and here's my take on them (I am solely talking about Chinese food):

Number one, if there are only a meagre number of people with small appetites sharing a meal and you want to try a lot of other stuff, do not order soup or you'll never finish anything else. Unless you have Joey Tribbiani at your table, I suggest you do not try that.
Number two, if you are dining in a restaurant, unless there are seafood enthusiasts amongst your crowd, do not order crab (especially those with chili sauce and all) because they are inconvenient and positively disgusting. They make your fingers all sticky, ew...
Number three, no prawns, unless they are already peeled because unless you are extremely skilled at shelling prawns, that takes a heck of a long time (without using your hands).
Number four, if there is no one around your age at the table, to prevent from dying of boredom and awkward conversations, bring a book, but don’t forget to look up once in awhile and smile (and of course, don't read while eating).
Number five, keep all sarcastic comments to yourself because if you say them and no one is actually listening, it can be pretty embarrassing, not to mention awkward.

Well, that's just my take, they are not the best solutions and neither may they be absolutely correct or anything (personally, I am not following any of them except for Number 4 and 5). I will, definitely, encourage you to seek professional help on these matters rather than to follow my very dubious set of information. Thank you and good day (: Adios!
