Net Carn '07
We didn't win Net carn, not a thing because we were disqualified from all events other than the actual game itself. Pity, we left the banner in the squash courts and the damn paint started to rot. And poof, we were disqualified. Yay and everyone's happy. Yeah right. There was not even a prize for best played game (alone), only overall champion and all other events we were disqualified from. What a shame. They were determined to make us lose. They must have saw this coming and hence disqualified us from everything else. We only had a chance if we were sensational which apparently we were not. A couple of wins, a few loses, and a number of ties. No way we can be overall champions. 1-11 totally trashed us in the final match, even with a four point penalty. This is so unfair! Like, okay! We were wrong! Do you really have to do this?! Sigh, what's over is over, there's no use brooding over it I should get over it and live, but not before leaving my foot print behind on their sparkling clean shirts. Humph. Well, I should respect the comment I made in JY's blog. It's not about the prize, it's about the journey. I think we did put in the effort, played great games and gone beyond my personal expectations of the class. We might not have won, but the journey was fruitful and engaging. We reaped more than any other class from this unfortunate incident and we shall learn from this day on to be more careful and of course, never leave your class banner lying around, in case it rots and the smell wafts to some unfortunate soul out there.

You know what, I think I shan't write titles any more. Three reasons : no. 1 They seek too much attention and are some what distracting. No. 2 I can't think of an appropriate title hence misleading the reader. No. 3 It takes up too much space. Ok, whatever. This nonsensical babbling is utterly irrelevant. I just read Jia Ying's blog and the first line of her latest post is 'OMGOMGOMG i just finished the Devil's Advocate on Youtube'. I haven't watched that show/movie yet so I am in no position to comment. However, there's this anime that I just started watching a few days ago that was introduced to me during the Wei Qi merit CCA activity (Thank you so much!). It is called Hikaru no Go and can also be found on youtube. Gosh it rawks! Go Fujiwara no Sai! Someday, I'll learn to draw him but first, I shall learn the basic rules of Go/Wei Qi/Baduk. This game, according to this other Go tutorial found on youtube, is about balance and judgement. Balance because both players get the same number of stones, so one must spread one's stones out to enclose the greatest amount of territory but not let them get so far apart that they are separated and can't come together to form living groups. It's a skillful balance and efficient play that would win the game. Judgement is something like judging if the place at which you place the stone would be to your advantage or something like that, not calculation (although this is sometimes used). I'm not pro at Go or anything and I have still got a lot to learn so I might have made some mistakes above, but whatever it is, I will learn and hopefully someday I'll succeed!

Views on 102's Drama Night performance - bimbo cheer
I do not think that the Bimbo cheer actually crashed the entire show as it was a little bit of fun in the rather serious performance. In some way, it also shows how the GIRL wears another face in front of her friends, thus being related to the theme. However, I think the extras were a little unnecessary (referring to "LUKE!<3: no, Alicia, that's where you're wrong. the bim cheer with only the 3 of you was ok., it iddn't spoil anything. but with extras? whoohoo. off it goes!" tag on the 27th of October). When it was just the three of them, it just seemed like this clique-ish cheer that was really cute but when the others were included, it became more of a cheer-leading routine. Imagine what it would have become if the dance to the cheer was actually included. It was also pretty unclear where the extras came from and their significance in the play (which may be why we were marked down). Hence my point (which may be unclear as i am not much of a writer), it is not the bimbo cheer that crashed the show, it is the way in which we did the cheer.
