World Expo
Singapore, Spain, Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Argentina, Brazil, Canada and Nepal. Nine Pavillions in 8.5 hours.
In my opinion, the Shanghai World Expo was not too bad (though it was a heck a lot of walking). Unfortunately, I only managed to visit Spain and not other more popular pavillions like Russia and Saudi Arabia because the queues were too long. Thankfully, the weather, on the day I visited the Expo, was great and made queuing much much more bearable.
I only set aside one day for the Expo during my trip to Shanghai and personally, I felt that it was more than enough. What irks me is not so much the queuing as is entering the expo site itself. In my case, my tour group needed to take a boat down the river to get to the expo site. After that, we took a bus across the river to the side where the countries' pavillions are (of course you can take another boat but the wait is simply too long). That alone took us three whole hours (the longest queue I was in only lasted 1h 45min).
But anyway, it was a pretty good experience. The night lights were pretty (:

No One But You

The song that best describes my thoughts and feelings now
No One But You
by Queen
Words and music by brian may
A hand above the water
An angel reaching for the sky
Is it raining in heaven -
Do you want us to cry?
And everywhere the broken-hearted
On every lonely avenue
No-one could reach them
No-one but you
One by one
Only the good die young
They're only flying too close to the sun
And life goes on -
Without you...
Another tricky situation
A get to drowin' in the blues
And i find myself thinkin'
Well - what would you do?
Yes! - it was such an operation
Forever paying every due
Hell, you made a sensation
You found a way through - and
One by one
Only the good die young
They're only flyin' too close to the sun
We'll remember -
Forever...
And now the party must be over
I guess we'll never understand
The sense of your leaving
Was it the way it was planned?
And so we grace another table
And raise our glasses one more time
There's a face at the window
And i ain't never, never sayin' goodbye...
One by one
Only the good die young
They're only flyin' too close to the sun
Cryin' for nothing
Cryin' for no-one
No-one but you

It's back to busy...

School's been really busy, it's only the second week but we're already getting mounds of homework and sleeping pass midnight and stuff of that sort. Feels like six months of work in two weeks. Good news? It's going to get worse.
Actually this is somewhat better than the second half of last year. At least I am in better control of myself and I actually do my homework (albeit sometimes unsuccessfully because I do not know how to do it and not because I don't want to). Sometimes, I get to sleep at 11pm (: So, hey, I'm pretty satisfied right now.
Perhaps the only thing that gets on my nerves is physics. I just don't get it. If I were to rank the subjects I take in order of the subject I'm most at risk of failing, physics is smack on top, no questions about that. I mean, I got 28% for the online quiz and half the time I had no idea what I was doing... Hopefully tuition helps, or I'm really going to be extremely frustrated. I don't intend to take up physics in JC but since I'll have to face it for the rest of the year, might as well be friends right? But yeah, easier said than done.
Sigh, anyway, I should treasure my last year in secondary school. Before I know it, it'll all be over and I don't want to regret not having tried my best. So physics, 我跟你拼了!
