World Expo

Singapore, Spain, Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Argentina, Brazil, Canada and Nepal. Nine Pavillions in 8.5 hours.

In my opinion, the Shanghai World Expo was not too bad (though it was a heck a lot of walking). Unfortunately, I only managed to visit Spain and not other more popular pavillions like Russia and Saudi Arabia because the queues were too long. Thankfully, the weather, on the day I visited the Expo, was great and made queuing much much more bearable.

I only set aside one day for the Expo during my trip to Shanghai and personally, I felt that it was more than enough. What irks me is not so much the queuing as is entering the expo site itself. In my case, my tour group needed to take a boat down the river to get to the expo site. After that, we took a bus across the river to the side where the countries' pavillions are (of course you can take another boat but the wait is simply too long). That alone took us three whole hours (the longest queue I was in only lasted 1h 45min).

But anyway, it was a pretty good experience. The night lights were pretty (:
